Do you already have a MediaWiki wiki, or do you want to import some pages from a previous wiki? If so, we can import your content from your MySQL/SQLite database or a MediaWiki XML dump.
Imports are always free. As long as you have a subscription to MyWikis, we'll be happy to import your wiki for you.
To get started, please open a support ticket and attach the SQL file/XML content dump file. In addition, please include the extensions and images folders located in your current wiki's directory. If you have a composer.json or composer.local.json file in your wiki directory, please send those to us as well.
For customers with existing LocalSettings.php files and databases, we can import those directly instead, forgoing the XML dump. Rename your LocalSettings.php file into LocalSettings.txt and upload a zipped version of your SQL database. If it is too large to upload to the MyWikis Client Panel, please upload it to either Dropbox, Google Drive, or OneDrive and share the dump with us.
If your wiki dump contains over 1 GB of files, please let us know. Wikis with large amounts of files are best suited for our MyWikis VPS plan.
Due to the varying level of complexity of each and every previous MediaWiki import, we are not able to guarantee the success of your import into MyWikis. In those cases, we will inform you of the failure of your import and offer a refund.
If you need further assistance with migrating from another wiki host, we'd be more than happy to answer your questions. Please open a support ticket and we'll be happy to help you.
